!Friendica Support I created a group https://venera.social/profile/africaevent When I post a message it appears unlisted despite the fact that I have selected public so that it is broadcast outside the group too. Is there a setting that allows you to make the message 100% public.

@tness If you mention the group/forum foo with !foo it will be only posted on that group/forum. If you want to have your post also visible to your followers, mention it as any other contact with @foo. I hope this solves your problem?

@tness Yes, I noticed it later. I got a bit confused with ! versus @ mentioning as I thought the later one is more broader. @Michael Vogel however knows the deeper details.

No. Group posts are always "unlisted" to prevent them from appearing in public timelines or being shared by relay servers.
⇧
