@KDE Eco Convincing people to use #Linux instead of #Windows? Sure but costs a lot of efforts, not just reliability and such. But #KDE isn't everyone's choice. I dropped it in favor of #FVWM-Crystal and I remain happy with it. The simple reason is simply the resource consumption all these KDE processes consume. And sometimes you need programs from the #GNOME universe. Then you also have to launch their own "services' (daemons). But if you like and prefer KDE, go ahead. Linux' (distribution) primary advantage over Windows is, that it does not have just ONE desktop system + it has a console which is indeed very powerful. A friend of mine has moved from Windows to Linux and failed with KDE and used XFCE now instead. And he is happy with it. That's what we should promote. choose the desktop (or none at all) that fits you.
