@dj

Would a better video card help with streaming? Or will all games suck when streaming? Thinking of moving the 3060 over since nobody uses the AI service. But wan tto avoid the hassle if everything sucks

Streaming usually suffers from network bandwidth being limited. A faster video card won't fix that. Depends on your problem.

Ok, those do suck for gaming. I thought it was competing with drc and your backups for bandwidth.

I think it helps if the resolution of the host matches your client and there's no transcoding. I was doing 1080p to 1080.

no transcoding? You mean use software only? I set it to h2.65 and software. Looks like no hardware support on the laptop

No, software encoding is worse. I mean that your monitor match the resolution your vm is set so it doesn't have to transcode.

I love xbone wireless controller. Works on linux using bluetooth. You should upgrade firmware using Windows Xbox accessory app for increased range. $45 at Wal-Mart.
Might as well use Windows 11 instead lol, there's a kiosk mode too so it can open just to moonlight windows store app.

Oh nice. Will look into it.

I got a wireless keyboard and mouse (logitech) from walmart last night. Can game from the couch/coffee table now. Worked really well. Did you set moonshine to go from WINDOW to FULLSCREEN? No more lag. I am really impressed. Never need to leave Linux again basically now with Windows Virtualized.

@verita84 @Rock DJ Well, I streamed here a lot on #TwitchTV and later noticed that when #OBS runs on the same machine, it "steals" about 10 FPS from games like #Factorio or #Satisfactory . So yes, having your streaming PC separated is always a better option and then your streaming PC doesn't need a fast GPU.
