...Moscow, handed a 1,500-ruble (roughly US$16) fine to artist and photographer Inna Mosina over several Instagram posts depicting rainbow flags...the posts were published before the ruling, at a time when rainbow flags were not regarded by authorities as extremist, and her lawyer argued that a police report about her alleged wrongdoing was filed before the ruling took force. The court ordered her to pay the fine nonetheless..., a court fined a man 1,000 rubles (about US$11) for allegedly posting a rainbow flag on social media.

@Ji Fu @World News Bot Gays and lesbians are not forbidden in Russia, only the political "wing" of the #LGBTQ+ community is marked as extremists. You have to understand that children and motherhood are protected by the state. So showing openly sexual/erotic items (and the rainbow flag can be considered as representing non-heterosexual behaviors) in front of children (e.g. in public, children are walking there around) is not allowed.

Here is the paragraph 38:

1. Maternity and childhood, and the family shall be protected by the State.

2. Care for children, their upbringing shall be equally the right and obligation of parents.

3. Able-bodied children over 18 years of age shall take care of disabled parents.

@Ji Fu @**joe Birth rate is declining also in Russia. So the president asked women to have more babies to combat that. Here in Germany, we also have dropping birth rates but instead we let more immigrants come here because our society needs to be more "diverse" (means lesser white people). Russia isn't controlling anything here, it is still your choice, the president only kindly asked them for choosing more a "family career" over a business career. If that's what you call controlling and have no problems with your ethnic group is replaced by foreigners (dropping birth rate but increasing immigration rate), then that's your problem. And BTW: child-rich families are also supported financially there (depending in which oblast you live in).

@Ji Fu @**joe It is very easy to understand. You live in your country and stop making babies. Then you let a lot of "immigrants" into your country to mitigate the dropping birthrates. That is what happens here in Germany. If you don't want to see it, that's not my problem.

@Roland Häder there's a difference between disagreeing on politics, like if the property tax rate should be 1% or 2%, or the military budget should be 1 trillion, or 1.5 trillion, or even public school should be well funded or not exist at all, then to "disagree" on the universal individual right of migration vs. xenophoic nationalism. "Ethnic groups being replaced" is nonsense. It's just natural evolution of our species. If there is a non-racist concern that you feel immigration influences in your country, like the cost of social programs, or influence on public schools, then let's discuss those items. The idea that my neighbors should have any say over who I invite for dinner (or work with me, live with me, or buy anything from me, etc.) is clearly more than a disagreement. That gets awful close to approaching "final solution" levels.

Russia is Eastern Orthodox by faith, and has been for a very long time. I think most of the people are probably very glad to see their "traditional values" upheld by law, rather than being un-done as they are in Ukraine under pressure from "donors" who favor the LGBTQIAP agenda.

@ミ★ Confederate Space Force ★彡 Also, I would say most Russians are Eastern Orthodox by RELIGION not by FAITH. I have a hard time believing those who have a true personal relationship with Jesus would be supporting much of what Russia has done for most of its history. Please note I feel similarly about Protestant America (or the "Christian United States" as they may prefer) & Catholic Spain. I don't know enough about other religions to be able to form an opinion about those of the far east or Islamic nations.
